Pad See Ew (Fried Wide Noodles) Outside of Lumpini Park

After walking out of the Four Seasons Bangkok, I realized that I didn’t have enough small bills to get home. Unfortunately, ATMs spit out 1000-baht bills and taxi drivers rarely have enough change for rides, which typically run 50-120 baht.  I needed to find a 7-Eleven, my trusty source for change, but first I found a few food stalls at the corner of Lumpini Park and I ordered pad see ew (fried wide noodles) to fuel my search. The noodle vendor stir fried chewy wide rice noodles, crisp chinese broccoli, and thin pieces of pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce and fish sauce and finished the dish with a hefty dose of ground pepper.  I would have like some more charred bits.  Still, it was delicious all the same, and I found my small bills and ride home at a mini-mart up the street.
