Bangkok, Thailand – I love this dish. Red curry with roasted duck, which, as you can see, is garnished with some fresh coconut cream and Thai basil leaves. This one has pineapple and grapes, as well as tomatoes and pea eggplant, those hard little green balls that look like peas and are quite bitter, a nice contract to the sweet and creamy elements.

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants here in NYC, but have never encountered this exact dish. Wish someone would add it to a menu here. If not, I’ll just have to get to Thailand for the real thing.
